One of the most exclusive golf communities in the country, Desert Mountain is located on 8,000 acres of Arizonas pristine desert. With five championship
golf courses and custom, multi-million-dollar homes, you might not expect
to find a modular building at its center. However, by using the finest
construction materials available and an innovative architectural design,
we were able to create a facility that literally melds with its dramatic
surroundings.
Constructed in only 60 days, this temporary structure serves as a clubhouse
and sales center until the permanent, multi-million-dollar facility is
completed. Nestled among natural vegetation at the 18th hole of Jack Nicklaus
Chiricahua course, it is here that players gather for refreshment and
potential home buyers take in what could be the view from their new, custom
home. Hence, Modular Technology knew that this building had to exude both
the permanence and elegance befitting of such an establishment. We achieved
this by incorporating unique features into the buildings design
such as viga ceilings, recessed lighting, stone and marble floors, and
a cozy fireplace. The Southwest, adobe architecture also features natural,
wood-stained doors, stone columns that frame a breathtaking verandah,
and a canopied entryway. The numerous interior niches and alcoves create
an intimate atmosphere, despite the buildings large, open floorplan.
Needless to say, Desert Mountain was thrilled to see that, not only was
their building completed in time for the release of new home sites, but
all design and environmental standards were met. This includes the special
challenge of preserving the natural desert setting, which borders the
Tonto National Forest. As such, any vegetation or cacti disturbed by installation
were marked, temporarily relocated, and then placed back in their original
positions. This illustrates the special care put into a Modular Technology
building, both inside and out.
