Mike Morton, President, Modular Technology, Announces New Vice Presidents

Mike Morton, President and Founder of Modular Technology, announced the promotion of two members of the firm’s Long Range Planning Committee to Vice Presidents.

Craig Sorenson, formerly Director of Educational Sales for public and charter schools in Arizona and California was named Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He has been with Modular Technology for 4 years and will assume additional duties in Marketing and Human Relations. Craig is former President of the Humboldt Unified School District Governing Board, which gives him a unique understanding of school needs, especially rural schools. He is an active member in Arizona educational organizations. Craig has an entrepreneurial background having owned a factory-built building dealership and construction company in Prescott Valley, Arizona for 12 years.

Additionally, Sam Tomlin was named Vice President, Project Development, a newly created department to help streamline projects by assigning and managing them by complexity based on unique criteria. Sam was Director of Jurisdictional Processing for 8 years. Sam has a wide range of experience from 13 years as Vice President and Owner of Urban Tech, a development-consulting firm. He is relied on for liaison, design, and site plan approval through the various governmental agencies. Sam identifies “red flags” during the due diligence period and throughout the project, which could be detrimental to the project’s development. He specializes in charter school development, financing, building, and expansion.
