An accelerated construction schedule gave Bank of America this striking 4,700 square foot branch in just 45 days. The building's 13' circular ceiling and curtain wall — with its unique challenges for the placement of mechanical, sprinkler and electrical components — present the visitor with an open and spacious interior that perfectly accomodates the bank's large-scale marketing graphics. The self-service lobby boasts a dramatic media wall with a large screen plasma TV encased in wood grain laminate; attractive, asymmetrically placed kiosks; generous use of floor-to-ceiling glass and aluminum walls; and an open floor plan that places unusual tolerance demands on the fit and finish of walls, doors and millwork. |
Special site challenges included the installation of very large underground storm water retention pipes, the use of mature landscape materials and trees, and installation of a stepped masonry screen wall.
