Building Outside the Box Modular Technology, established in 1984, is the preferred and largest commercial contractor in Arizona specializing in design build modular construction. For over 22 years we have supplied quality educational, financial, commercial, and medical facilities throughout the Southwest. All of these projects have been completed within budget, on time, and faster than any other company in the construction industry. We provide design build construction in half the time required by “traditional” construction. A typical 36,000 square foot facility takes Modular Technology approximately 7 months to design and build. It would take a “traditional” contractor 12 to 18 months. We do it by using a simultaneous construction method. Utility work, foundation, and site preparation occur while the building is constructed in our controlled environment. The building is brought to the site with plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling systems, insulation and drywall installed to 80% completion ready for connection and final finishes. Modular Technology pioneered the accelerated commercial construction process by combining 90% of the traditional site built process with 10% of the modular process to create a superior building while reducing the time to market by 50%. The 10% adapted from the modular industry is the construction of the building shell in a strictly controlled environment. All Modular Technology buildings are permanent, custom designs, with steel framing designed to the same codes as “traditional” site-built structures.
